Camping Areti

Visit impossible. At the closed gate of Camping Areti, I was informed by the guard: "only for private members". I received a business card inviting me to view the photos there and then possibly book. How can such a camping site be recommended by the ADAC?

I am constantly amazed by the sometimes less favorable reviews of this wonderful facility. Instead of talking about the beautiful things of this place, negative little details are highlighted. Therefore, I would like to give all interested parties who are looking for peace and relaxation a little insight into this paradise. 1. The Facility Once you have passed the entrance gate, you are overwhelmed by an extremely lovingly maintained and clean facility with many blooming shrubs and flowers. Young as well as many well-kept old olive trees provide shade at the individual camping pitches. Oleander in all color variations. All camping pitches and bungalows are lovingly embedded in this blooming environment. Every morning (and in the evening if necessary), the paths and also the beach are cleaned. The wooden bungalows and the very beautiful stone bungalows are regularly cleaned. 2. Relaxation Factor When you wake up at night in absolute silence, hearing the soft waves of the sea in the background, you realize you have not only arrived but that total relaxation begins. For example, when the birds chirp at 8:30 a.m. and you still hear nothing from your neighbors because they are very considerate, it brings about a feeling of well-being. And dear readers, here comes something very important for all interested parties! In this place, there is great care taken to ensure that there are no loud excesses after 11 p.m. It is ensured that neighbors are not disturbed by loud laughter or celebrations in their relaxation. Yes, even children - regardless of age - must adapt to these circumstances and show consideration. In this facility, there is a "strict regime," and anyone who does not comply with this top rule (whether long-time guests or occasional visitors) does not have to book. You cannot have it both ways – partying loudly until late at night and demanding relaxation and peace at the same time. And one more note for all who always think that children can do almost anything. Even in paradise, there are rules, and these rules apply to children as well. When my children want to play, they can enjoy the beach, playground, tennis facility, or volleyball court to their hearts' content. However, my children were never allowed to play "tag" in the tavern or on the neighbor's terrace, nor to drive the neighbors crazy by yelling or screaming all day or evening. This also applies to meal times and consideration for other guests. (In German or Austrian restaurants, you would not like this either.) It's not about regulations but simply about "BEHAVIOR." Those who internalize this can find the best friendships and enjoy a wonderful vacation. We all waited a whole year for a few weeks of relaxation, and here I finally find it. I do not get a party mile, as I can find that a few kilometers away in other facilities or in Neos Marmaras. 3. Personnel You are greeted with a smile by all employees at any time of day. And when I return a smile to the employees, they fulfill every feasible wish for me. When you take a look behind the scenes of this facility, you will find that most of the staff have been employed for many years. This shows me that the employee turnover is very low, and the working atmosphere is pleasant. The owners and also the management are almost continuously available. They are always attentive to ensure that guests feel comfortable. 4. Tavern Some comments state that it is not a first-class, but rather a mediocre tavern. This is not correct. If you want to dine at a first-class restaurant, you can reserve a table in the town of Neos Marmaras and enjoy royal dining. Please do not be shocked if you have to pay a very high amount for a good meal with a bottle of wine there. In the tavern of Camping Aretti, you get very good Greek food for your money, with many fish variations but also other Greek specialties. And I am almost sure that for the unrepentant, there is also the famous schnitzel available. This restaurant has always had first-class staff, and the employees in the kitchen - who sometimes work in 40-degree heat - are reliable and quick. 5. The Accommodation. Here, I can only think of one sentence: The accommodations - regardless of type - are clean and well-maintained. And what more do you want than to vacation just 10 to 20 meters from the sea while having nice and quiet neighbors? 6. Sanitary Facilities Most campers with caravans or motorhomes bring their own sanitation facility. Thus, they are independent here. The same goes for the stone bungalows. Guests who use the sanitary facilities will find that they are always cleaned and therefore are clean. What good is a modern sanitary facility if I have to wear rubber boots to visit the toilet or the flooded showers? Anyone can complain about a sanitary facility, but what really matters is cleanliness. 7. The Beach As visitors, you will find a clean, gently sloping beach and clean water. What more do you want? The pictures on the internet are not only NOT lies, NO - they are just a tiny snippet of this little paradise that cannot be described but must be experienced. I am happy to have found this little paradise, and I hope to be able to vacation here many more times. And I am glad that the top priority of this facility is care, cleanliness, and above all mutual consideration. Here it MUST be understood that loud interactions are not necessarily desired by the guests. About us: we are returning guests who have made many friendships in the past. It is also nice that other returning guests do not isolate themselves and do not let the permanent campers hang out with special experiences and privileges but wish to have relaxing hours with their families and occasionally sit together in the tavern. New guests are never excluded and should feel comfortable in the community - like in PARADISE. Greetings from Ratingen A&A

Scenic dream, well-maintained facility, but impossible operators. It's better to vacation elsewhere with children, as they are not welcomed or appreciated there.

The headline is almost nothing to add... Except perhaps that the showers are very tidy by Greek standards, that the campsite is very lovingly set up, there are many regular guests (no long-term campers!), which already says a lot, and that the beach is absolutely ideal for families with small children, or for others who enjoy snorkeling. The restaurant on site is not a Michelin-starred place, but you can eat well and affordably. What more could you want? We would be happy to come back!

The place is very beautifully situated. Super beautiful bay with turquoise water. Operators are very nice. Supermarket on-site is practically nonexistent - definitely shop in advance. Food in the restaurant does not deserve even one star. The site's sanitary facilities definitely need to be renovated.
