Campsite for visits to Madrid

This organized campsite is located west of Madrid, near the highway, yet it remains quiet. The pitches vary in size, and we changed our location because we could not access our original spot, which was not a problem (as long as there were available pitches). There are several clean sanitary buildings. An animation program can be found at the entrance area. We only bought baguettes on the first day as the goods were from the day before. There is a bus connection to Madrid (with 2 changes), which takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Particularly, the bus to and from the campsite was infrequent, often leading to a 30-minute wait for the bus during transfers.

Perfect for a Trip to Madrid

The campsite was ideally suited for a trip to Madrid. The bus stop was almost right next to the campsite. By bus, it takes about an hour to reach Madrid, and you need to change once. At first, it might seem a bit daunting, but once you've done it, it's no longer a problem. The plots on the site itself were nice and large, separated from the neighbors. Since we were traveling with a car and a tent, the plots were even almost too big for us. The sanitary facilities are fine and are cleaned every morning. The pool area and the pool itself are quite nicely done. There are many permanent campers on the campsite. At night, it's relatively lively until late. However, we didn't hear any street noise.

A Disappointment...

I don't know where to start... We are currently staying here for one night (of three) and are considering leaving early. First, the pros: - free Wi-Fi (though the connection constantly fluctuates) - large space - close to Madrid - partially covered spots Cons: - the spots are so close to each other that I could reach into my fellow campers' food at times. You can hear every word and have no privacy - steep spots and thus also the camping pitches. It's hard to find level ground with a tent - very stony spots - no soap!?!? & empty hand sanitizer - the sanitary facilities are not being cleaned and look like they haven’t been maintained for a long time. There’s also sometimes no toilet paper available - directly on the highway and thus a lot of car noise - the pool is closed (despite 26 degrees of sunshine) - there’s a lot of rubbish on the pitches Perhaps the site is better maintained during peak season, but in my opinion, this should always be the case. We chose this site based on the good ADAC rating and were highly disappointed.

Large parking spaces partially with a roof - perfect in summer. Sanitary facilities new and modern. Large and small swimming pool. Very steep terrain and the path to the reception is very long.
