Camping Amsterdam Gardens

We cannot completely understand the many bad reviews. We were at Sail Amsterdam for 4 days on the campsite and it was totally fine, even though it was super busy. There is a clean sanitary building and always hot water for showers. Yes, the campsite is in the flight path, but planes do not fly constantly. From 11 PM to 7 AM not a single plane and we didn't hear the 'highway' either. We got around with bicycles as well as with buses and trams. Neither was a problem. Right next door there are huge green areas for walking dogs. We would book the campsite for a city trip again anytime.

One night, with electricity and later departure for 80 euros. Quiet hours from 10 PM. Huge birthday party until 3:30 AM right next to the groundskeeper. Unbelievable insolence. The rest is worn out. Never again.

We warn every camper about this site. The sanitary facilities are a better shed. The cooking facilities are dirty two-burner stoves located between the toilet and the shower. There is still something that used to be a kettle. The "reception" is also located in a wooden shed. The first few days were still quite calm. Until Friday, when the incredible happened. The entire site turns into a festival. We are surrounded by tents. An exit is not possible without running over several tents. Techno music is booming from every corner. Complaints about this volume do not interest anyone here. This site is not worth a euro.

It's just way too loud due to the flight noise.

The Internet talks about peace and relaxation in nature, but constant flight noise is not mentioned. Simply annoying. The sanitary facilities leave much to be desired. The staff was friendly.

No parceling, enough space, sanitary facilities are okay, neat and clean. The overall impression is very untidy. Negative the aircraft noise from the nearby airport, as well as occasional shower outages. Underwhelming is the price of about € 56 without electricity.

Never again, we were there on October 3rd. There was no indication that the campsite was closed, just a sign that the reception was closed. However, there were 3-4 caravans on the site and one had booked in advance. The sanitary facilities were in a disastrous state. The next morning we were informed that the campsite was closed, but we were asked if we wanted to stay another night. Despite the poorly maintained sanitary facilities, we had to pay 40 euros, without a receipt, and card payment was not possible.

Really, there is nothing beautiful there. The sanitary facilities resemble rotten wooden shacks and do not deserve that description. The planes taking off during the day at a frequency of 90 seconds make any conversation impossible. The advertised proximity to the city means approximately 1 hour of travel time, no matter how you do it. Nobody spoke German there either. We really fell flat on our faces.
