Beautiful location on the Elbe. Unfortunately, constant train traffic, as there is a high-frequency railway line right next to the campsite. The operator has changed. Check-in and check-out are only possible at the machine. Waste disposal station directly in front of the exit barrier. All others have to wait. Very poorly organized. Some wild growth around bushes and shrubs. Difficult with large motorhomes or trailers. Restaurant not present!!!! Sanitary facilities are limited but very clean. We can’t complain. Conclusion: Okay for a few days, as it is well located for exploring the surroundings. NOTHING for families, as there is little space.

In terms of location, optimal in the Saxon Switzerland. A good starting point for excursion options. Whether by bike, public transport, or car. However, the campsite is not recommended during long weekends like Pentecost; all available pitches are offered, the main thing is to bring in money. We were probably the last idiots to arrive on Pentecost Saturday and, despite having a reservation for a week, were pushed into the last "bay" as a "comfort pitch." Right in the parking lot, spaces were listed as "motorhome pitches." (This sign has since been changed to comfort pitches). These are optimal for a night for temporary parking if you want to move on the next day, but not if you want to settle there for a week with two kids. There is no space for an awning, and there’s no vacation feeling at all. !! The only concession was that we could have left immediately or moved to another pitch after two days. So we had to set up and break down once more. Otherwise, there was no concession. The gentlemen at the reception just shrugged their shoulders stupidly, showing no understanding for the situation. Probably because they themselves stand/live as permanent campers in such a bay. During peak times, there are not enough toilets, sinks, and showers.

Overall, a nice campsite with a great location in the Saxon Switzerland. The site is relatively small and the pitches are also quite small at about 5m x 8m. This is because there is an effort to provide enough space for many vacationers. For us, the space was adequate. The sanitary facilities were clean for us. One drawback is of course the railway line, which we also heard. However, it did not disturb us at night. During the day, the attractions of Saxon Switzerland are easily reachable from here. The Bastei is about a 20-minute drive away, and the Gohrisch was also super accessible. The kiosk has the necessary goods, but there is also a grocery store not far away. We can recommend the campsite, as long as one can make compromises in comfort and space. Also, this site is more suitable for a short stay rather than for long-term campers.

By good fortune, we made our way to the site and then chose a parking spot by the Elbe - with a view of the Lilienstein, and you could even see a corner of the Königstein fortress. The site was clean and well-maintained. The entrance might be a bit tricky due to a sharp left turn, but everyone managed it :) There are also camping barrels and safari tents available for rent. The reception was friendly and relaxed. First, arrive and set up, then check in. The kiosk has the essentials, but the way to the village and to the local supplier is not far. Electricity is provided through pillars with coin slots, a long cable is useful. Those who are self-sufficient do not have to share the costs of others through a flat rate. We also found it practical to have the access card for the sanitary building and showers. This card is loaded with a balance, and a deposit is to be paid. The sanitary facilities were clean and in good condition, just a little more attention to the corners and behind the doors, then it would be perfect :) The railway line above did not disturb us, but anyone who can't handle it should look for another spot - there is passenger and freight traffic. The guest card allows the use of public transport, and the operators can provide wonderful information here as well. We will definitely and very happily return.

The spots are very small. Spots 30 to 50 are located directly by the railway line. At least every half hour, a freight train plus regional train runs. During our vacation, track construction work was carried out at night. We could hardly sleep. According to information from the construction management, the work was coordinated with the site operator. We were not informed. An early departure was possible, but there was no refund of the fees paid in advance. We are very disappointed and will not visit this site again.

The parking spaces are very small and apparently not checked after the predecessor's departure - we discovered during dismantling that there were dog droppings stuck to our tarpaulin, which we then had on our hands and T-shirts as a result. We found the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities to be roughly the same; in the evenings they were no longer usable without private precautions!! Since we expect some hygiene even at a campsite — we will never come here again!!

Beautiful spot directly on the banks of the Elbe. Unfortunately, the parking spaces are very tight. The drive to our reserved spot with our 8m long caravan was not possible, as the entrance goes around a corner that would not have been possible without damaging the caravan. Therefore, we received a different spot. This went smoothly. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location ideal for excursions to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, Königstein Fortress or cycling tours along the Elbe. Tip for the operator: Adjust access roads and parking spaces to standard vehicles.

At most spots, especially the tent meadow, you are very close to or directly by the Elbe. The place is easily accessible by public transport (train to Königstein & on foot or by bus) and is a wonderful starting point for hikes in the Saxon Switzerland. Grilling is only allowed at the grilling area, which can get crowded quickly. You can also clearly hear the passing trains at night.
