Great hiking area, site unkempt

Silly

July 2022

The site seemed unkempt, the showers were renovated and okay, but the toilets were old and not really clean. The reception was unattended and one had to look for the contact person. Rolls were available in front of the reception for self-service. There was also no restaurant on the site. Shame, the landscape was beautiful and the hiking trails were well marked.

Very, very many dogs (you have to like the smell and barking); very many residents/campers who are smokers/chain smokers; one camper who does his business behind his caravan and doesn’t mind that his neighbors see it. Disgusting! The place partially has a scruffy/sloppy impression. The place itself is actually wonderful and has a lot of potential.

Beautiful Location, Facilities Need Improvement

March 2019

The visit to the site was planned as a starting point for explorations in the region. The location of the campsite is very beautiful, right in the middle of the Bavarian Forest. Arrival and departure, the organization of the site, and the services were uncomplicated and actually worked well. Only the sanitary facilities, which we place great importance on, were very old, some were defective, and not very clean. There is a need for improvement here. As dog owners, we can recommend the site for the forest and beautiful hiking trails.

A nice quiet place where one can relax very well. The facilities are well maintained and clean. In the restaurant, the service is very friendly, the food tastes excellent, and even with a big appetite, one is well satisfied.

Small quiet and clean place on the outskirts, renovation of the sanitary facilities would be desirable as they are somewhat outdated. Kitchen on site is highly recommended!
