Campingplatz Das Kreuzeck
Campsite Overview

Campsite Intro
About
Situated in the heart of a green, overgrown complex, the Das Kreuzeck campsite scores highly with its direct access to the lake and tranquillity, especially for nature-loving couples and families. Remarkable features are the spaciousness of the parcelled pitches and the fact that the campsite is dog-friendly. A wellness area with sauna and fitness room ensures relaxing hours, while the children's playground is popular with younger guests. Culinary specialities are served in the Schoko restaurant, and the charming surroundings are ideal for hiking and swimming. The proximity to historic Goslar and the exciting summer toboggan run on the Blocksberg round off the camping experience.
Due to its quiet location right on a bathing lake, the relaxed atmosphere, and the comfortable facilities, it is an attractive holiday destination in the Upper Harz region.

Very nicely situated site by a lake, laid out in terraces. Clean and modern sanitary facilities, but with a significant problem with water treatment. Cold showers were the order of the day. Very unfortunate, and the staff dismissed it as if one were telling a falsehood.

Actually nothing, there is nothing nearby. However, we were just passing through, so that’s okay.

We really liked the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of all facilities. What we did not like was that the restaurant had not yet reopened and that the minimum stay of seven days over Pentecost did not apply to everyone. We had to extend specifically to get a spot. For the roll service, it would be nice if one could choose the rolls as not everyone likes the wrapped ones. We will not be coming back.

The sanitary facilities were very clean and well-maintained, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, family-friendly with a children's bath and children’s toilets. Unfortunately, there was partially no satellite reception due to trees obstructing the signal. Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi.

In the following, I would like to report on our experiences and impressions. We inquired by phone whether there was still a pitch available for a caravan during the desired period. The lady on the phone provided us with competent and very friendly information and asked us to make a reservation via email afterwards. We then fulfilled this request as well, and shortly afterwards we already had a reservation confirmation. The arrival went smoothly, as did the check-in. Everything was explained to us (pitch, electricity, washing house, bread service, etc.). The campsite is located directly on a lake and is terraced. The ground is mostly gravelled, and the pitches are separated by low rows of bushes. The power connection is located directly at the pitch, and drinking water is centrally located at the washing house. The sanitary facilities are very inviting and absolutely clean. At no time did the cleanliness give cause for complaint. The showers are generously dimensioned, and there are sufficient toilets and sinks available. The disposal station (grey water and chemical toilet) is located near the washing house. Additionally, there is a machine for emptying and cleaning the toilet cassette. The reception: As already described, the staff are very friendly/nice and always concerned about the welfare of the campers. Information about the surrounding area was provided willingly and competently, and even on repeated inquiries, they responded kindly. There is a small shop attached to the reception. Surroundings: The site is located in close proximity to Hahnenklee, the Bockberg with the summer toboggan run and the bike park. You can reach the summit on foot, by bike, or by lift. Goslar and Clausthal-Zellerfeld can also be reached in a short time.

Wonderful campsite with very nice and super helpful operators (when my son fell off his mountain bike and I was completely beside myself, a driver was immediately organized to take him to the hospital in Goslar)! The sauna is a MUST and is so lovingly arranged. The washroom is also great and clean! Nothing is missing here! We will definitely be coming back 970

Dog-friendly campsite with swimming lake and sauna
Covering an area of 5 hectares, the campsite has 140 pitches, 100 of which are parcelled out. Most of the pitches have electricity and offer plenty of space with an area of between 80-120 square metres. Dogs are of course welcome. Facilities include a laundry room with tumble dryer, a scullery and waste disposal facilities for camper vans, as well as well-maintained sanitary facilities. Free WLAN is also available at the reception area and in the restaurant. The wellness area, which is equipped with a relaxation room, a sauna, a tea lounge and a fitness room, ensures maximum relaxation. Younger guests can let off steam in the children's playground. Around 70 per cent of the pitches offer a direct view of the lake and the nearby Blocksberg. Together with the surrounding forest, guests can expect a natural atmosphere. During the warmer months, the lake invites you to take a dip in the refreshing water. The Schoko am Kreuzeck restaurant guarantees culinary specialities with creative, chocolate-based recipes. The 7.5 km Liebesbankweg, one of the most popular hiking trails in the region, runs right past the campsite.
