A small quiet place right by the River Enns in the truly beautiful city of Steyr. The sanitary facilities are quite old, but they were always clean. Flat meadow area, free choice of spots, great bread roll service. Well-maintained lawn, drinks, ice cream, and delicious pizza available on site. In July, one can walk to the theater by the river. Clean showers and restrooms. Free Wi-Fi. Tennis, mini-golf, walking through the nearby forest, hiking in the Kalkalpen National Park. The site is also great for kayakers. First of all, straight to ADAC: 1. The campsite has long stopped being called Forelle, but rather Camping am Fluss! 2. 1 1/2 stars? Why? You obviously haven't been here in a long time! A lot has changed under the new operators! And now to my review: Small, very clean, and quiet campsite right by the banks of the EnBW in the beautiful city of Steyr. The operators are very accommodating and helpful. Always clean toilet and shower facilities and well-maintained lawn. In the morning, there is a bread roll service available by pre-order. You can also order drinks, ice cream, and a very delicious pizza. All in all. We liked it a lot, and we would love to come back.
