Camping am Allersee

Very good central campground, friendliness and cleanliness are a top priority. Children and dogs are welcome. The pitches are of normal size with a solid base. The lake in the recreational area offers some sports activities. Overall, highly recommended.

The campsite is very centrally located. You are just a few minutes away from the Autostadt, the station, or the outlet. The Allersee is also quickly reachable via the back door. The sanitary facilities were always clean. We stood at the camper van parking space. That was okay. The office hours are not clearly visible. The hours mentioned in the email are different from those on the internet and also different from those on the door.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stood. The worst part was the staff; the groundskeeper shouts at the smallest infractions across the entire site at a volume that is unbearable. There is no shop; the only things available are cigarettes and alcohol. Although there is a water connection at the site, it is locked, and you have to awkwardly walk with a watering can to the nearest tap. I have never experienced anything like this!

Very clean and beautiful campsite right by the Allersee. The pitches are nicely large. Roll delivery and a small kiosk available. Operators very nice and helpful. Electricity and TV connection directly at the site. 10 minutes on foot to the small harbor with slipway (€10) on the Mittelland Canal. Autostadt can be reached in 15 minutes on foot. Center can be reached in 20 minutes on foot.

For those who find reliable good WiFi (e.g. for streaming) while camping as important as location or cleanliness, they will be extremely disappointed. Once the occupancy reaches about 50%, nothing works in the mornings and evenings. The free network freeWolfsburg is only accessible after 4 or 5 attempts even with low site occupancy (both with iOS and Android) and is then extremely unstable. The network from the operator Camping Allersee (free password only upon proactive request) is also insufficient, very unstable, and actually completely unusable when occupancy exceeds about 50%. Those who do not care about WiFi, or who bring a mobile WiFi hotspot with a working D1 or D2 network themselves (O2 is very poor locally), will be very happy with the site.

We were received very warmly and had a great spot. The campsite is quite small, which also makes it attractive. Showers and restrooms were extremely clean. The location directly by the lake in the greenery but also a short distance to the city offers many opportunities to spend your days there. We were there with a T3 bus and our spot was quite large. We will definitely come back and recommend this campsite.

We stayed for two nights at the campsite by the Allersee. The site is quite small and the campers are all parked closely together. However, you are right on the Allersee, where you can swim and paddle board (access to the lakeside path through a locked gate, just a few steps to the beach from there). A bit further away, but still within easy walking distance, is the VW Autostadt. On the way there, you pass a nice rope playground, a climbing forest, and a water ski facility. The site caretaker is very nice and helpful, there are delicious rolls, the sanitary facilities are small but sufficient and clean, and there is free Wi-Fi (provided by the city). There is also a playground for children. A city-close but still quiet site that may not be very beautiful, but where you can still feel comfortable.
