More info about Camping Alex
Camping Alex is located in Cadenazzo, a municipality that has been known as a transport hub for many centuries. The quiet campsite is a perfect retreat and is ideal for discovering the most beautiful places in Ticino.
Well-kept campsite with its own pool
Holidaymakers looking to cool off on hot days have several options at Camping Alex: Lake Maggiore is less than 15 minutes' drive away. The Lido Locarno is a paradise for swimmers and families. One of the highlights is the sports pool: panoramic windows provide a view of the lake during training. During the warmer months, the sandy beach offers plenty of opportunities to play. Refreshment is also provided at the campsite: the 300 m² outdoor pool offers pure swimming fun. A fence surrounding the outdoor pool ensures safety. The pool is divided into a swimmer's area and a shallow area for the youngest bathers. Culture fans will also get their money's worth at Camping Alex: After all, the campsite is located just a few kilometres from the centre of Bellinzona. Three medieval castles characterise the town centre. Because of its Mediterranean flair, Bellinzona is often referred to as the "most Italian city in Switzerland".
Centrally located campsite with good facilities
Camping Alex is surrounded by wooded mountains and the impressive peaks of the Gotthard massif can be seen. The well-kept pitches are set against this magnificent backdrop. They are equipped with an electric hook-up. Dogs are allowed on the campsite if they are kept on a lead. The youngest holidaymakers will find a lovingly designed playground on the site. Self-catering holidaymakers can shop in the shops located in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. Motorhome drivers will appreciate the service centre: Waste water is disposed of properly here and fresh water is refuelled. As free WLAN is available on the site, you can send photos and holiday greetings home directly from your pitch. Nature lovers can visit the Verzasca Valley, around half an hour's drive from the campsite. The Roman bridge in Lavertezzo is one of the cultural jewels of the region. On hot days, hikers can cool their feet in the turquoise waters of the Verzasca. You can get to know the valley in all its splendour on the 24.1 km Verzasca Valley hiking trail. It starts at the Verzasca reservoir and leads to Sonogno. The return journey is by post bus.
If you are looking for an ideal starting point to discover Ticino in all its beauty, then Camping Alex in Cadenazzo is the perfect place. Both the enchanting Lake Maggiore and the cultural jewel of Bellinzona are just a short drive away.
