Camping Alegría del Mar is located in the village of Benicarló, in sunny Spain in the province of Castellón in the north of the Valencian Community. Situated directly on the Mediterranean coast, the campsite boasts a fantastic setting. The pitches are located on a gravel and crushed stone surface, with the campsite area planted with oleander bushes, hedges and a few deciduous trees. These provide shade on hot days and create a Mediterranean ambience. For a refreshing dip, there is a pool area with a small terrace for sunbathing.

👍 Close to Peniscola, easily accessible by bike. We had a large, quiet spot. Pitch/Rental Accommodation: Sufficiently large, water connection. 👎 We were satisfied.

Campsite with many winterers, so the same entertainment every week
👍 Good reception by the reception Pitch/Rental accommodation: Reasonable camping pitch with electricity and sink with water (not drinking water). Drinking water nearby. Electricity 4kw for €3.50 per night. More than enough for normal use.

Outdated Site with Many Permanent Campers
The site is located near the unkempt gravel beach, about 1.5 KM from the nearest village. The reception with small shops and an attached bar/restaurant opens in the morning only at 9:00 am. Gravelled area, pitches bordered by hedges, partially shaded by trees. Sanitary facilities are outdated, no longer up to date, hot water does not work even after a long wait, cleanliness should be improved overall, cleaning of the facilities usually only once a day.
