Giannella Camping

A well-located and shaded campsite near Giannella. The beach is not far away (just across the street). Manageable area for campers and the like. Sanitary facilities are very basic, and one searches in vain for comfort. However, there are (sit) toilets with a bidet hose present. Warm showers for 50 cents (sufficient for a quick shower). Despite the outdated and neglected appearance, the facilities were clean and constantly maintained. Friendly and pleasant staff, a small shop, and a snack bar with a nice restaurant/pizzeria. Ant and dog lovers will also find what they need here ;-). Unfortunately, the promised Wi-Fi throughout the site is just a tale. At least the Wi-Fi at the bar worked. We would camp there again anytime.

The interaction with guests, even unannounced ones staying for a night, is straightforward. The sandy beach (unfortunately quite littered) is just across the street. The sanitary facilities are very basic and outdated. Hot water is available in the showers for €0.50. There is no hot water for rinsing off or at the hand basins.

The campsite is located by a road that you can hardly hear. The bike path starts right behind the campsite. You have to go through a small gate, saving 3 km along the road. There is a good bike path to Orbetello that runs only a short distance along the road. 18 km round trip. Nice place for strolling and shopping (supermarket Conad) Bike paths are very good in the area. We felt very comfortable here!! However, there are groups of young people who apparently have a kind of school trip stopover here. It can get loud until 11 PM (music) Otherwise, we liked it a lot. Beach accessible on foot across the street (public beach) Small shop on site where you can buy rolls in the morning from 8:30 AM and daily necessities. Showers €0.50 are completely fine for a day price of €21.
