Our first big camping vacation with 2 adults and 2 kids, 6 and 8, led us to this wonderful place based on a family recommendation. The staff is super friendly. The site is large, but you don't notice it. The pool facility is great, and the free sunbeds too. Unfortunately, these are still reserved at 7 am. Embarrassing... The beach is also fantastic, the water park is great fun for young and old. Food in the restaurant is also completely fine. The town of Rovinj is about 4-5 km away, there is a shuttle bus. Unfortunately, the town was totally (!!!) overcrowded in the evenings. Animation for kids and also for adults daily. Twice a week live music in the evenings. The prices at the pool bar are good. A small downside, but not for us: on the football field there is action until about 10:30 pm in the evenings. All in all, a great campsite that we can recommend.

Clean and tidy sanitary facilities. Good restaurant. Mini shop very well stocked. Unfortunately, no possibility to book a specific plot, only by category. Belongs to Valalta, but no passage.

Great place with plenty of loungers by the pools and at the sea, excellent sanitary facilities, great cove. Wellness and massage top-notch. The food at the restaurant didn't taste that good to us, so we tried three surrounding restaurants: Basilica, Tipico Green Garden, and Grill Nada, which we can highly recommend! Unfortunately, we had an incredible number of mosquitoes at the site, and this was at the end of September! They weren't deterred even by our frequently used mosquito spray.

July 2023
We (2 adults, 2 children aged 7 and 15) were at the campsite for 2 weeks in July/August '23. The reception staff was very nice and helpful. Our pitch (Luxury Mare category) was large enough and a bit higher up due to the terraced expansion. This provided a beautiful view of the sea. The first row by the sea is directly on the promenade. You have to like that. A little bit of weeds between the pebbles didn’t bother us. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. The cleaning staff is very reliable and diligent. If it wasn’t perfectly clean sometimes, we can only confirm what previous speakers have said. This was mainly due to the holidaymakers or parents who don’t teach their children manners. The pools were also great. Not too big, one pool shaded by a sun sail, one natural pool (pebbles with salt water), one saltwater pool, one infinity pool, a baby area, and a small splash area. The beach is long enough and there are free sunbeds available. Regarding the “reservations of sunbeds”, we can also confirm what previous speakers have said. It is incomprehensible that there are people who just cannot help themselves. Even the sign asking not to do so unfortunately does not help. There are nice activity areas such as tennis, basketball, pétanque, mini-golf, football, beach volleyball, playground, inflatable castles in the sea, etc. The bay is ideal for stand-up paddleboarding. First-class sunsets. It is even worth having a picnic on the beach in the evening or a bottle of wine with a first-class pizza from the restaurant, lying on the sunbed and then enjoying it. The supermarket and separate fruit and vegetable store are top-notch. What was also impressive was that, despite a fully booked campsite, it was absolutely quiet in the evenings and mornings. During the day, the noise level was completely acceptable for us too. At no moment did we have the impression of being on a completely overcrowded "tourist" campsite. Apart from one or two spots on the beach, everything was nicely spread out. Note: Ballermann fans will be disappointed here (for us an additional plus). Excursions towards Rovinj or Cape Kamenjak are also recommended. In conclusion: Generally, we switch campsites and countries every year because we always like to try new things. But to this beautiful place, we will definitely come back. It was a nice vacation for the family. The campsite is absolutely recommended from our perspective.

We were at the campsite for 3 weeks in July as a family. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. Our pitch was very large, albeit somewhat unkempt. Weeds were growing between the pebbles. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. In the first week, they were really top-notch - after that, cleanliness significantly declined. However, this was not primarily due to the really great cleaning staff, but rather to the holidaymakers or parents who don't teach their children manners. (It doesn’t really surprise me that we Germans have such a bad reputation abroad) At the pool and beach, there are plenty of free sun loungers. Here too, it became difficult from mid-July - Germans just can’t help but reserve sunbeds with towels. A sign asking them not to do this unfortunately doesn’t help. (see above - reputation, etc...) I would have liked to see more trash bins at the beach. Here too, the top condition declined. Beach maintenance? The inflatable castles in the water are included and bring great joy not only to the children. The supermarket is great, but it’s a pity that no additional bread is offered throughout the day. In the evenings for grilling, unfortunately, one has to go to the relevant discounters. The food in the restaurant is really good and fairly priced, the waitstaff are very attentive and friendly despite the stress. Special praise here! Except for the tennis court, all sports facilities are included and free to use (table tennis, mini-golf, soccer, volleyball...) The children loved it very much. Conclusion: overall a very nice place, unfortunately, it lacks that 'little something' regarding pitch maintenance to be a top-rated ADAC site, like the ones found in Italy for example.

We are absolutely satisfied. Clean sanitary facilities (usually also depends on the guests), many free loungers, beautiful pool area, good food in the restaurant at fair prices (also in the small supermarket & vegetable/fruit shop) and very nice and courteous staff. No noisy surroundings, normal volume in the evening from other guests (nothing disturbing). We can fully recommend this campsite and would come back anytime.

This is our fourth time here! It is a place without dogs = very nice, clean, and friendly staff. However, in the meantime, there are vacationers who go south to then run their air conditioning for "many hours" until late at night, partly with open windows!!! Whether this disturbs the neighbors is irrelevant! Everyone pays for the electricity of these climate killers! It is between 28 and 30 degrees, it's warm, just as one imagines a holiday by the sea! Due to the pleasant breeze, it is very bearable with open windows. We are urged in Germany to save electricity/energy! The behavior of some vacationers from Germany is embarrassing!

On the west coast of the Istrian peninsula, Camp Val Saline is the ideal place to spend an active family holiday right by the Adriatic Sea. Extensive children's entertainment and a comprehensive sports programme ensure fun and variety during your beach holiday: guests of the campsite have free use of comfortable sun loungers on the almost 800 m long fine pebble beach.
Almost 300 pitches for caravans and campers are spread over a spacious site, which is mainly terraced and covered with medium-high deciduous trees. The various pitches offer plenty of space, are mostly gravelled and some are surrounded by hedges. So there is no shortage of privacy on a family holiday at the campsite. With its exciting entertainment programme for children, spacious children's playground, paddling pool and separate sanitary facilities for younger guests, Camp Val Saline has adapted to the needs of families. Parents can either enjoy the beautiful view of the sea and the hinterland or relax in the well-equipped wellness area and then make themselves comfortable on the free sun loungers by the outdoor seawater pool with gravel lagoon. The adventure mini-golf course promises fun and excitement for the whole family. And in the outdoor fitness park, active people can train on the equipment in the open air. Those who enjoy socialising with other guests can socialise at a beach volleyball match or work on their handicap with others on the golf course. The boat hire on the beach is very popular with families with children: they enjoy taking short trips along the coast with swimming stops. The surroundings of Camp Val Saline are also great for exploring: Thanks to the campsite's own bike hire service, tours around picturesque Rovinj are possible at any time.
The picturesque harbour town of Rovinj on the Istrian Adriatic coast lies between Porec and Pula. The labyrinth of narrow alleyways in the old town takes visitors back to the Venetian era. The town's landmark, the church of Sveti Eufemija, towers above the rooftops of the historic town centre. Several picturesque cycle routes lead along the Rovinj Riviera and through the green Istrian hinterland: the Rubin cycle route and the "Captain Morgan" cycle route are among the most popular excursions - they can be explored on a hire bike from the campsite. If you want to explore the countryside on foot, the Limski Canal nature reserve is just the place for you. A 22-kilometre route leads past the canal from Vrsar to the deserted town of Dvigrad.
