Camping spots mostly shady under tall pines, partly with grass mats. Permanent campers shape the character of the site with their tasteful constructions and accessories. Sanitary facilities are cleaned multiple times a day but are old and run down, not meeting current expectations. Hot water is only available in showers, not at washbasins or sinks. There are no separations or wall projections in the showers, so clothes end up wet afterwards. There are too few storage options and hooks. Toilets are 75% standing ones. No toilet paper, no soap dispensers - everything is very sparse. The beach is boring, umbrellas and sunbeds are lined up like in Rimini. Loud entertainment during the day at the beach and in the pool until the deep night. And all this for €50 per night for 2 people and a camper...

Simple pitch, partially shaded under pine trees, close to the sea, only separated by a dune. The sanitary facilities are very basic, without toilet paper, and are cleaned several times a day. In the premises, there is also a mobile home facility in the midst of a garden. The pool area with small slides can be used by all guests. Sun loungers are available at the beach for ten euros per day. Daily necessities can be purchased at a small market, which always has fresh vegetables available. The restaurant on the premises offers typical Italian dishes, seafood, and pizza service for takeout.

There is only warm water in the shower, impossible to rinse. The toilets have no toilet paper and are very basic. The showers are moldy and dirty - the water sprays in all directions, you can't bring your clothes out dry, the light is off, you can't see anything. The staff is unfriendly and rude to Germans. On the phone, I was quoted a price of 54 euros, but we had to pay 68 euros per night. No sign of COVID measures or hygiene! The beach is beautiful, that's the only positive point!

We wanted to stay longer because the place is so beautifully presented on the internet with its large pool area. Unfortunately, campers can only use the pool in the mornings. In the afternoons, it is for the mobile home guests. One is indeed nicely positioned under the lines, but so close that there is only 1.5 meters between the awning and the neighbor. The restaurant is okay, and the staff at the reception are friendly. But the showers are unacceptable. Tight, dirty with old crusts, and the water sprays in all directions from the calcified heads. With three children, we paid €85 per night for a 3-star campsite.

Very nicely laid out place under pine trees. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Very nice pool, but also a very nice and clean beach. The sanitary facilities are clean but simple. The lack of hot water at the sinks, especially at the dishwashing sinks, is a disadvantage. But still would love to come back!

The California International Camping Village is located under the shade of spreading pine trees on the picturesque coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The unique location directly by the sea in a peaceful, rural setting makes this campsite particularly popular not only with beach holidaymakers, but also with families and nature lovers. The historic centre of Montalto di Castro is just a few kilometres away.
An impressive 300 pitches can be found under the sprawling branches of the pine trees that characterise the Maremma coast. In a flat and unspoilt region, the California International Camping Village extends over an area of 14 hectares, divided into various pitches for caravans and campers up to 70 square metres in size. The centrepiece of the Mediterranean campsite is the central pool area with spa and a separate children's pool. Numerous sun loungers and parasols are available to guests here. Holiday guests can relax on the well-tended sunbathing lawn directly adjacent to the pool area or watch the children having fun in the playground. They will quickly make new friends with the loving entertainment programme, which is specially tailored to the needs of younger guests. The California International Camping Village offers beach and bathing holidaymakers direct access to the 300 m long and 30 m wide sandy beach on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Italian region of Lazio. A path in the holiday village leads directly to this private stretch of beach, where the shallow water is also ideal for small children. Canoes and pedal boats as well as a beach volleyball court are available to visitors free of charge. Guests at the California International Camping Village can enhance their camping holiday with half or full board in the adjoining restaurant.
The historic centre of Montalto di Castro, a medieval town in Lazio, is only around 4 km away. The small town is characterised by small squares, arches and alleyways. One of the most famous sights in Montalto is Castello Guglielmi, which towers picturesquely over the town. Pointed arch and Guelph windows characterise the façade of the castle. If you want to delve even deeper into the history and traditions of the region, pay a visit to the Vulci Archaeological Park, which is located on the exact spot where the Etruscan city of the same name once stood. Abbadia Castle overlooking the River Fiora is Vulci's landmark and is now home to an important museum. About one kilometre from the castle is an Etruscan necropolis - or "necropolis" - with 2,700-year-old tombs.
