The campsite is beautifully located by a lake between Kitzbühel and Kirchberg. It is predominantly filled with permanent campers. We were on a spacious snowy area that became very muddy during the thaw. The distance to the electricity supply was considerable. Around the reception, the site appears unkempt, with full ashtrays and uncovered garbage bins contributing to this impression. The central sanitary building is clean and well-maintained at all times. The showers could be a bit larger. The drying and ski room is too small for the number of guests. An electricity charge of 1.60 Euros and exchanging an 11 KG gas bottle for over 50 Euros seems excessive to me. The price includes access to the saunas and swimming pool. All facilities worked very well, but unfortunately, there was only one shower for cooling off.

We were here for 15 days and cannot understand some of the negative reviews. The sanitary facilities are relatively new and clean, not 'aged', such is our impression. Unfortunately, during New Year's, the site was overcrowded and therefore the sanitary facilities suffered, as some have to march directly into the shower with filthy ski boots. So it depends on the guests, if it sometimes looks like a battlefield, everything is spick and span the next morning. The non-parcelled sites are allocated and are sufficiently large for a caravan, towing vehicle, and small tent. It feels like 50% are seasonal campers. The attached hotel with wellness oasis offers fun for sauna-goers, swimming enthusiasts, and food lovers. The site is located directly by Schwarzsee, a wonderful nature experience surrounded by the peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps. The operators are always friendly.

Outrageously Expensive

Were there on October 2, 2023, for 1 night. Paid almost 80.00 euros. Not dog-friendly, charges 9.50 euros per dog. I have to wonder what they use for the dog that I have to pay almost as much as for an adult.

The use of the indoor pool at Hotel Bruggerhof is included in the CP price. The shop was closed during our weekend, so rolls were available for purchase at the hotel.

Great location but expensive!
Very good8
Jens
Positive: beautiful location and really friendly and helpful staff. They are available from morning to evening. Sanitary facilities are sufficiently available and very clean and modern. Negative aspects include the pricing. On top of the stated price per person, there are additional fees like tourism tax, an environmental contribution, and garbage fees. I also find €1.80 for 1 kW of electricity somewhat excessive. The spaces for seasonal campers and motorhomes are not divided into plots, and the staff naturally tries to accommodate as many campers as possible in the areas. This can become a bit cramped.

Nothing negative to complain about, the groundskeeper immediately showed us our spot. Spacious lots, you don’t stand in a row. A few minutes' walk to the lake, nice for swimming, walking, biking. You can also use the indoor pool and sauna of the adjacent hotel, as well as the Pit Pat facility, mini-golf, and tennis. The bus stop is right at the campsite, otherwise it's a 10-minute bike ride to Kitzbühel. At Biogreißler you can get all the groceries you need, closed on Sundays, and you can get fresh baked goods at the hotel. The sanitary facilities have been renovated.
