Topcamp Bogstad - Oslo

The sanitary building at the back near the 500 pitches is old, dilapidated, and constantly very dirty. There are too few showers, and the toilets are located inside the shower cubicle, causing long waiting times. At €75 per night for 2 people, the pitch is completely overpriced. Moreover, the back pitches are uneven and bumpy. It really isn't worth a single star, but bus line 42 goes directly into the city, and there is a supermarket right at the door. There was also no waste separation in the back area, everything went into one bin.

The new sanitary building near the playground has a high-end fit-out. However, preschool-age children are not allowed to enter the building. It is well known that kids at that age cannot read yet. Since a code is required to open the door, a parent must always accompany them. I really don’t understand the purpose of the code. Who would want to enter the facilities as a 'stranger'? And if they do, that seems very human. Moreover, there are only 3 washing sinks!!! And the advertised outdoor kitchen does not exist. The staff (as mentioned in other comments) can only take my details for a 'fee'. I can only recommend that everyone checks the available pitches beforehand. Otherwise, you may find yourself with your tent, camper, or caravan at a slant. Other than that, it is clean, quiet, and the kids have a nice playground.

The price is totally overpriced, the lady at the reception asked us to book at the machine in front of the door, as it would be cheaper than booking with her. She just stood around the whole time instead of helping with the bookings, but OK. The grass area consisted of more stones than grass. When showering, there was only lukewarm water, yes, with that price, one must save. All in all, overpriced and poor service.

First the positives: very good access to public transport, quiet, good pitches, spacious and clean sanitary facilities, a shop right next to the entrance, simple online booking. However, there are also some points of criticism: only cold showers, WiFi is often overloaded, queues at the few dishwashing places - this at the highest price we have ever paid for a campsite, over CHF 100 per night.

Well maintained and friendly staff

The location of the site is quiet, but a bit outside of Oslo. The connection by public transport is very good, however. The sanitary facilities were always kept neat and clean during our visit. It was also quiet, as the ongoing construction work for the expansion was paused due to the weekend/public holiday. The staff is friendly and professional. Those who like to book online, or check in and out, have disadvantages with this place. We would definitely come back. The supermarket is right in front of the entrance, plus a gas station.

At a price of about 65 euros for two people and a camper van, the site feels like just a parking spot.

They advertise with Wi-Fi, but there is none available. The worst part is that on the last day, all the cards for the sanitary facilities stopped working. If someone randomly goes ahead of you into the only sanitary building, in the worst case, you can't even get to the toilets at all. The reception then told us that this could indeed happen, but with four cards at the same time? The only positive thing about the place is the good connection to public transport.
