For decades I have been in the place where hardly anything has changed - the sanitary building 1 is 34 years old and worn but clean. The snack bar is not recommended this year - somehow everything is dry without letscho etc. and thanks to the bottle deposit since 2024, a bottle is gladly sold plus deposit (50.-Ft) but reluctantly refunded… so it's bad 😬. Prices are now internationally equalized 70sqm plot (there are also 100sqm and/or beach rows) 11694.- Ft (30.-€) per night including electricity, shower, car, and 2 people, plus a fixed price of 15000.- Ft (39.-€) per plot regardless of the number of overnight stays plus tourist tax 500.-Ft per person and night (1.30 €). Service has significantly declined - most of the formerly good restaurants are closed - parking costs almost everywhere gladly 500.- Ft, at the public beach, campers now also pay admission until 7 PM - fishermen only from 7 PM to 9 AM.

Everything is being prepared for the season. Quiet place. Kiosk also clearly better than 4 years ago. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Anglers as far as the eye can see!

In September, it was already very quiet, apart from the passing trains. The facility is actually very appealing, with low hedges separating the individual pitches. The food at the camping restaurant was also excellent. Unfortunately, the anglers occupy the entire shore with their setup, which ultimately hinders swimming in the lake. A simple walk along the shore becomes an obstacle course. However, we were alerted at check-in that the shore spots are used by anglers. What bothered me the most were the sanitary facilities. They were cleaned daily, but the fixtures are in dire need of renovation: rusty pipes and drain grates, ancient faucets, broken tiles, old toilets, and no toilet paper. Despite everything, it was two relaxing days.

A Paradise for Anglers - but unfortunately only for them

We were at this site for the second time and were appalled at how the anglers have dominion there. We had reserved a lakeside spot - of course with an extra charge. Unfortunately, it is not mentioned anywhere that the anglers position themselves right on the path between the plot and the shore. In the evening, we were illuminated with headlamps like construction lights, woken up at night by fishing alarms - of course with every fish, and insulted when we wanted to bathe at the swimming area, as we would disturb the anglers. For us, this was our last visit, as there are many beautiful campsites around Lake Balaton. Not much seems to be done at this site anymore. Everything feels very 'worn out', and every now and then you might encounter a rat that feels very at home in the snack area. For us, it was definitely our last stay at this site. Unfortunately, we hear this from many other campers who have been spending their holidays there for years. But our best experience was on the last evening when an angler stepped into Lake Balaton with a sickle to cut the water plants, as they were getting stuck on the line. That really took away our laughter. Our conclusion: Here, the angler has more rights than any vacationer. What a shame actually.

If you care about cleanliness, you are absolutely out of place here. The whole beach is blocked by fishermen. To bathe undisturbed, you have to go to the neighboring outdoor pool (however, it's free for campers). Otherwise, the site is quite beautiful, but I am disturbed by the many permanent campers who assert ownership claims and behave accordingly. The kiosk on site has a rich selection of drinks, but only food when the lessee (owner) feels like it. Addendum: The site is definitely not recommended for families wanting a bathing holiday. Extremely inconsiderate fishermen throw their floats directly at bathers. People, go somewhere else.
