Azur Camping Altmühltal

The spacious campsite near the Upper Bavarian town of Kipfenberg covers an area of 5.5 hectares and has 250 pitches, most of which are parcelled out. These are located on meadows, some of which are separated by hedges, and each offer between 90-100 square metres of space. Other services at the campsite include electricity connections, washrooms, sanitary facilities and Wi-Fi access. Thanks to the location directly on the idyllic banks of the Altmühl, active holidaymakers can explore the surrounding area in a canoe. These can also be hired right next to the campsite if required. Fishing is also possible here. There is also an outdoor pool around 700 metres away, which is great fun for young and old alike. If you would like to enjoy an excellent view of the surrounding area, you should not miss the 1 km hike to the viewpoint on the Kipfenberg. Another regional speciality is a trip to the slab limestone quarries near Solnhofen. Here you can become an explorer yourself and search for fossils in the ancient layers of rock. A trip to the centre of Nuremberg, around 70 km away, also guarantees a varied day out for the whole family. The Germanic National Museum, the Toy Museum, the Transport Museum and the New Museum in particular promise varied entertainment.
