Images of the sanitary facilities on the website are misleading – they are old, dirty, and uncomfortable, with no trace of the promised 'modern comfort'. Cleaning cycles are questionable. There is no Wi-Fi – neither bookable nor functional, despite multiple inquiries. Complaints (4 on-site, 2 via email) were ignored. No solution was offered to us. Those who like the 80s charm might feel comfortable. The location is good, close to the highway. However, right next door is a military training area with pioneer tanks – interesting, but very loud. Dog owners take note: The dog areas are in full sun, although shade was promised.

Space is just about okay for a night on the way, but the price is extortionate, €43 for two people. No Wi-Fi, long walks to the water, you need long cables for electricity. Registration is very cumbersome, computer and printer are from the Stone Age. Staff is well-meaning, but the technology fails.

We were here for the second time and will come again. However, not for a vacation but only for a weekend. Unfortunately, rolls can only be picked up at the reception starting at 8:00 AM, which is actually much too late for us. I would wish for 7:00 or at the latest 7:30 AM. What I found very positive is that the arrival could also take place outside of opening hours. Since there was very little going on, we were allowed to choose our spot freely. Otherwise, the permanent spots behind the large sanitary building are absolutely terrible. It resembles more of a junkyard than a campsite. During the walk, we were really shocked. It looked like after a tsunami. Otherwise, the site is a bit older, but the sanitary buildings are still clean.

Absolutely not to recommend! Staff unfriendly and just barely willing to do the bare minimum. One sanitary building is closed, the other one is only kept minimally clean. Early in the morning, loud music can be heard on the premises, but the staff doesn’t seem to be bothered by it. The place is located in a recreational area but has more of a noise level of a party mile! At night, you can hear the bass from the nearby disco, and during the rest of the day, the music from the lake or from ego campers. The old well-equipped kiosk has been removed, and you can only buy two or three overpriced products at the reception. The gas station is cheaper and has a better selection. Neither the staff nor the management seems to care about the place. Pathways are completely destroyed, everything is old, broken, and dirty. Prices are generally too high. Relaxation is impossible due to the constant noise level.

We searched for a place for an overnight stay. This place is very close to the A 9 motorway. On the other hand, the place is very city-close and has a swimming lake. It is strange that there is absolutely no signage to the site. Except for one single camping sign. And under this sign is another sign: "Traffic ban for vehicles of all kinds". You don’t know what to say about that! If you continue driving anyway, you will actually be on the site soon. This signage was unknown at the reception. The site itself is simple and planted with many trees. There is also a kiosk at the reception. The pitches are not numbered and you have free choice of pitch. Electricity is available. WLAN is not offered, and they take pride in this according to the notice at the reception. To get satellite reception, you have to search for a long time and potentially park multiple times. However, 5G reception is present. The sanitary facilities are okay but not overwhelming. What is curious regarding the provided service is the pitch price: We paid € 43,- for 1 night/2 persons/motorhome incl. electricity and free showers. That’s very expensive!! You can pay by card.

We were here from Friday to Sunday for a swimming competition at the nearby sports bath. We had the spot P3, which is beautifully located by the lake. The lake is separated from the spot by a fence, but there is a gate to the lake. The parking spot is very large. Overall, the area is somewhat outdated and serves many travelers as a one-night stop on the way further south. There is a lot of traffic on the camping site every morning and afternoon. The large sanitary building has been newly built or renovated, which we liked very much. The smaller building is already old but clean. The Auwald Lake invites you to swim or go stand-up paddleboarding. The breakfast service worked great with fresh rolls.

You arrive and look for a spot, connect the electricity, and go pay. Everything is clean and there's a great lake. It's a bit too close to the highway.
