Autocamp Lipno - Modřín

Camping Modřín is beautifully situated by Lake Lipno. What we didn't like at all were the sanitary facilities, which are very outdated and, in our opinion, also too limited in quantity. With about 120 pitches and almost as many for tents, the washing facilities are absolutely inadequate. Six taps on two short, narrow gutters without any means to set things down is practically impossible. Nevertheless, we are thinking of a return visit, as the campsite is truly exceptionally dog-friendly. Our four-legged friend was, like all the others, mostly well-leashed, but he was allowed to go to the beach and into the lake any time without issues. We also really liked the proximity to the lovely village of Lipno with many attractions and good restaurants. For us, the village has an almost Mediterranean flair.

Enough showers and toilets available. You have to wait in line to rinse the dishes. Far too small and only one drain for everyone. Non-parceled spot for 2 people without electricity at 43€ in August I find okay. But the other spots are, in my opinion, way too expensive. The lake is beautiful. 10 minutes on foot to the city. The bike paths along the lake are simply fantastic.

Possibility to camp directly at the beautiful Lipno reservoir. All facilities available and relatively clean. Unfortunately, also in the post-season about €50...

Friendly staff and newly renovated toilets and showers. But no bread roll service or minimarket. Small pitches, sometimes further away from the only sanitary building. Great water and grass. Too expensive for what is offered and the area.

We were in a tent at this campsite for 5 nights. We paid 42 € per night. Unfortunately, the pitches are very sloped, not very suitable for a tent. (The flat ones were of course already taken during the high season, understandable) What I found very annoying is that you have to pay extra for everything here. In my opinion, not justified for this sporty price. (Hot water for washing dishes and showering) I found the sanitary facilities to be dirty. However, you could always see ladies cleaning. There is probably just too much activity there. I found the dishwashing corner very disgusting. First you have to pay for hot water and then you stand in a tunnel where the food scraps from the neighboring diner flow past... that is really unacceptable. On weekends, there is loud music until 12:00 am (in our case a live band) in the restaurant. We were not far from it, as the playground is right next to it. It turned out to be a mistake, our 2 children and we obviously couldn't sleep, and accordingly our mood was very bad the next day. If we had known this earlier, we would have pitched our tent somewhere else immediately. My conclusion after the few nights there: Too expensive but very nicely located. We will not camp here again. We have already seen some places that offer more for the money (cleaner, friendlier, better pitches, children's animation, hot water included, Wi-Fi, and so on). Therefore, I can only generously give 3 stars.

Unfortunately, this campground is very overpriced! We did have a huge pitch right by the lake, but that’s all! One has to pay for hot water for the shower and also for washing dishes!
