We spent a week at this really beautifully located site and must say that we find some reviews here unjustified. Vacation period from late September to early October. Positive: Grand location, super clear water, plots suitable for all sizes, direct access to the lake, dog-friendly, friendly and flexible staff. Bus ticket included in the tourist tax (Achenseecard), good connections. Neutral: The sanitary facilities are rustic, but they were never dirty. Tall people may have issues with the seat height on the toilets. Rolls service available, but small selection. The sunbathing area is also used by day visitors, therefore occasionally a bit crowded. Negative: The road is heavily trafficked and very loud. The echo sometimes amplifies this. Although it is a bit quieter at night, it is far from silent. Conclusion: The location compensates for a lot, but not everything. If it weren't for the road, we would definitely come back.

The campsite has a very good location, the pitches are sufficient. The downside of this place, in my opinion, is that it is overpriced. Secondly, there is a downside to the sanitary facilities. Everything is a bit outdated, not to mention that it does not meet today's standards. Given the high price, having to pay an additional 0.50 cents for a shower is, in my view, a rip-off. Cleaning of the sanitary facilities takes place from 08:00 to 09:30. During this time, it is sometimes not possible to use the toilets.

As many have said, the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated. However, they were clean. I would come back here with the tent anytime. The tent sites are right by the shore, which makes the morning breakfast really great. We've been here twice already, and I would love to come a third time.

I departed early because I was so disgusted by the sanitary facilities that I didn't want to wash there anymore. The mold on the walls in the showers was clearly visible, and I really don’t want to know what is "living" under the wood paneling.

The good first, the location. It is directly on the beautiful Achensee. Unfortunately, the situation with the sanitary facilities does not match at all. The toilets and showers are very old and unhygienic. The facilities are also used by bathers and snack guests, and accordingly, they look as such. 2 toilets for the men are too few for the campsite and the additional guests, just like the 3 showers. We will not book this campsite again.

The camping site is beautifully located and very child-friendly. The surroundings offer a variety of activities for good and bad weather. The pitches are generously sized but unfortunately only consist of gravel. There are no grassy pitches available. The sanitary facilities are very limited for such a large camping site. Every time, we had to wait in line to take a shower or wash dishes. The toilet paper feels like it consists of 0.25 layers and is only available in individual sheets. The showers are outdated. Many need to be pressed continuously to get water. The water pressure is very low. The toilets can also be used by non-camping visitors. The camping site can be accessed from several sides at any time. The camping shop offers a very small selection of products. All the described issues could easily be overlooked if the price were not so high. Conclusion: not recommended due to the price-performance ratio.

The location of the site is beautifully situated between the lake and the mountains. Not recommended for a quiet camping holiday, as there is a lot of traffic passing right by the plot. Cars, cyclists, motorcycles, hikers from early to late. There is a lot of coming and going from motorhomes. All in all, it is an open and restless site. The restrooms are therefore in constant use. On weekends, day visitors for bathing also come. In our opinion, it is more of a parking space for 1-2 days rather than a campsite. The price-performance ratio is much too high.

The campsite is beautifully located right by Lake Achensee. The spots are small and usually quite shady. When it has rained, the spots were very muddy. The sanitary facilities were a disgrace and really frightening. There were 3 women's showers, with a €0.50 machine; once the 5 minutes were up, one had to go back to the machine wet to throw in more money. The baby changing table is actually just a board next to the washing machine and dryer. Above the changing table is a shelf with brushes, turpentine, and paint buckets. It is not heated. Right next to the washbasins, the chemical toilets are also emptied.
